Operations Consulting

A fixed-fee assessment of how your business runs. We find the real bottlenecks and hand you the Modernization Blueprint, a plan for what to change first and where technology earns its place.

Sounds familiar?

  • Important work depends on a few key people, often you.
  • Your tools don't talk to each other: accounting in one system, sales in another, and the numbers that matter in spreadsheets and inboxes.
  • Reporting is slow, or you don't trust the numbers.
  • Manual work and rework are growing faster than the team.
  • Costs rise while capacity stays flat.

If more than one of these sounds familiar, we find the drag, prove it and hand you the plan to remove it.

What you get

The Modernization Blueprint in three parts, then a month of us on call.

Blueprint Report

The reference your team returns to for months: the operating map, every finding and the roadmap to modernize how the business runs.

Executive Findings Presentation

We walk your leadership through the findings, so the people deciding what comes next have the full picture.

Project Briefs

One for each top opportunity on the roadmap. Each is scoped and ready to build from, with no need to repeat discovery.

30 days of support

After delivery, we stay reachable while you decide what moves first.

What actually happens

The same core team runs the engagement from the first interview to the final presentation.

Typically three to eight weeks, depending on scope.

  1. Diagnose.

We interview leaders as well as the people doing the work, then review the systems and documents they rely on. That evidence becomes a process map of how the business actually runs.

  2. Analyze.

We trace where time and money leak. Each finding becomes an opportunity: what to fix and how, what it would take and what the business gains. The fix can be a process change, an integration, an automation or a new system.

  3. Prioritize.

We rank each opportunity by impact, effort, risk and readiness, and review the priorities with the people who own the work. That review produces an ordered plan, with the top opportunities vetted and ready to implement.

  4. Present.

We present the findings, the priorities and the roadmap to your leadership. What happens next is your decision: implement with us, with your own team or with another partner.

A few engagements at a time.

Start dates go in the order conversations begin, so the sooner you reach out, the earlier the date you can hold.

How pricing works

No two companies run the same way, so the fee depends on how much there is to diagnose:

  1. 01How many workflows we map
  2. 02How many people we interview
  3. 03How many locations or teams are involved
  4. 04How tangled the data and systems are

Whatever the scope, the fee is fixed: quoted after a short call and agreed before we start.

What happens if it does not work

Hiring a diagnosis means paying before the results exist. We think that risk belongs on both sides of the table, so every engagement comes with two commitments in writing:

01The implementation credit
If, within 30 days of the final presentation, you hire us to start implementing the roadmap, the full fee counts toward that work.
02The strategic value guarantee
If you don't have clarity and direction by the end of the engagement, we keep working with your team for up to 30 more days. After that, either we scope the work that follows, with your implementation credit still valid for it, or we agree a fair refund for the value not delivered.

You can receive the implementation credit or a refund, not both.

Common questions

How much does operations consulting cost?

It depends on scope, and here's exactly what moves it: workflows, interviews, locations, systems. The fee itself is fixed, quoted after a short call and agreed before we start.

Do we have to hire you to implement?

No. The plan works with us, with your team, or with someone else. However, if, within 30 days of the final presentation, you hire us to start implementing the roadmap, the full fee counts toward that work.

Can't we skip the diagnosis? We know what we need.

You can: that's what Custom Software is for, when there's already a clear project to build. Operations consulting is for when you want the full picture of what's slowing the business down, and a roadmap to fix it. Either way, we confirm the scope before anything gets built.

Why not buy the software first, or hire a generalist consultant?

Software bought first solves what that product was built for, which may not be what's slowing you down. And advice from people who don't build can recommend work they have never had to deliver. We build these systems ourselves, so we recommend only what we could defend and deliver.

Are you an operations consulting firm?

We're an operations and technology firm for growing companies, and this is our operations consulting: it maps how the business runs, finds what slows it down and ends in a written plan. When the plan calls for a build, the same team can take it on.

Will the roadmap recommend traditional software or AI?

Whichever fixes the problem. Operations consulting looks at the whole operation, and the roadmap can include process changes, integrations, traditional software or AI where it earns its place. If your question is whether AI makes sense for your business, and where, AI consulting is the better path.

How much of our team's time does this take?

About two hours per interviewed person. Leadership adds a kickoff, a mid-point check and the final presentation.

Is this an audit?

No. An audit checks compliance; this is a diagnosis of how the business runs, what's slowing it and what to fix first.

Is this digital transformation?

Yes. Most of what gets called digital transformation is a process problem with software on top, so we start with the process: how the work moves today and what's slowing it down. Software and AI come in where they earn their place.

Tell us what's slowing you down.

We reply within one business day, and if we're not the right fit, we'll say so.
