Privacy Policy

This page covers how the Borea Labs website handles your information. It applies only to this website; terms governing our paid engagements are set out in separate service agreements.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Introduction

Borea Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when you visit our website. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding that information.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide. When you submit our contact form, we collect the name, company name, email address, and any additional details you choose to share (such as company size, which service you're interested in, or a description of what's slowing your business down).
  • Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our hosting provider’s servers log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages requested. These logs are used to deliver the site and keep it secure; analytics is separate and needs your consent.
  • Analytics, with your consent. We use two analytics tools: Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), which reports aggregated traffic, acquisition sources and campaign parameters, and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), which records how visitors interact with pages (clicks, scrolls, mouse movement and session replays) with form fields masked. Neither loads until you accept them, and neither is used to identify you by name. Section 3 lists the cookies they set.

3. Cookies

The site asks before it sets any analytics cookie. Until you choose, and if you reject, neither tool loads and nothing is sent to Google or Microsoft. Your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage for 12 months, then the site asks again. You can change it at any time from “Cookies” in the site footer; rejecting after accepting deletes the cookies below.

With your consent, these cookies are set on borealabs.com:

  • _ga (Google Analytics): tells visitors apart. Up to 2 years.
  • _ga_<id> (Google Analytics): keeps the session’s state. Up to 2 years.
  • _clck (Microsoft Clarity): keeps the Clarity visitor ID. Up to 1 year.
  • _clsk (Microsoft Clarity): joins page views into one recording. 1 day.

When Clarity loads, Microsoft may also set its own cookies on its domains (such as MUID, CLID and ANONCHK). Google and Microsoft process this data in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months. Clarity keeps recordings for 30 days, and heatmaps, click data and any recording we save for 9 months. Microsoft acts as an independent controller of Clarity data and may also use it for its own purposes, including advertising.

Without consent, the site uses only what it needs to work: your light or dark theme preference, stored in your browser, and the spam check on the contact form. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s opt-out add-on. Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services and how Microsoft handles Clarity data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and follow up on contact form submissions.
  • Schedule introductory calls and assess whether our services are a fit for your situation.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website.
  • Comply with applicable laws and protect against fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party marketing.

5. How we share your information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We may share information with trusted vendors who help us operate the website, process form submissions, send email, or measure how the site is used (for example, hosting and email delivery providers, and the analytics providers named in sections 2 and 3). Except for Microsoft’s own use of Clarity data (section 3), these providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

6. Data retention

We retain the information you submit for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain our business records, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us at the email below.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@borealabs.com.

8. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
